This is not a drill people! The OMR Festival. starts. tomorrow! Maybe you still have some unanswered questions? Like what's the best way to arrive? Where can I complete the accreditation process? What’s up with the app? Read on to find out answers to those questions and more.

Show me the accreditation!

Every single visitor to the OMR Festival must complete the accreditation process IN ADVANCE to enter the Festival. Accreditation, i.e. the process of swapping your ticket for your Festival wristband and badge, takes place at Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg. On Monday you can pick up your badge until 9 PM, while on show days (Tuesday and Wednesday), accreditation is open from 9 AM to midnight. Bring your ticket QR code and a government-issued, photo ID with you. One more time, here are those opening hours:

Monday May 6 | 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Tuesday, May 7 | 9:00 AM – midnight

Wednesday, May 8 | 9:00 AM– midnight

Check out the graphic below to see how to get to Heiligengeistfeld. Take the bus (lines 3,17 or X3) or the subway (U3) to "Feldstraße" station. From there it is a short walk to our accreditation tent.

Getting there

Our recommendation: Public transportation. Both Festival days will be extremely crowded in AND around the Festival grounds. OMR24 takes place at the Hamburg Exhibition Center (Hamburg Messe). As accreditation can only be done at Heiligengeistfeld (see above), we recommend that you take the U3 line to Feldstraße station. You can find a suitable connection at hvv.de. If you have already completed the accreditation process, simply take the U3 or one of the S-Bahn lines servicing Sternschanze and use the West entrance. Alternatively, you can also enter via the South Entrance (U2 Messehallen station) or the East Entrance (U-Bahn/S-Bahn station Dammtor). We do not recommend traveling by car, as the parking spaces near the festival grounds are quickly sold out due to the high number of visitors.

When does the show start?

Doors open at 9 AM, on-stage programming starts at 10 AM and goes through midnight both days. Live concerts and booth parties start at 6 PM and also end at midnight. Special feature: The Food Stage also offers unique content until 11 PM on both evenings.

Is there an app?

But of course! Click here for the Android version or here for iOS. Our recommendation: Download it in advance and have a map of the exhibition grounds in your pocket and favorite personal program highlights.

What about payment?

NO CASH at the OMR Festival. Cashless payment is the name of the game and you’re means of payment is your festival wristband. Be sure you don’t lose it! And don’t take it off during the two Festival days. Via our post-payment system, you can purchase whatever you want at the Festival site and settle up afterwards.

What’s the deal with deposits?

In order to make the Festival more sustainable, we’re implementing a deposit system again. On cutlery (knives, forks, spoons), reusable crockery, cups, bottles and cans, we’ll charge a €5 deposit and a €10 deposit for wine glasses.

All deposit items must be returned to the deposit return stations in Hall B6, the bars or to the mobile deposit return teams. Please note: You will only be credited the deposit on items originally charged to your chip.

Bags & luggage

Jackets can be left at the checkrooms at the South (1st floor) and East (ground floor) entrances, as well as in the central foyer, small backpacks are allowed—except in B5 for live concerts. There you may only bring laptop-sized bags.

These are just a fraction of the most-frequently-asked questions. For more answers be sure to check out our FAQ page.
